I remember reading something way back in the powerpc days, that OSX used to give priority 'power' to apps that were on top.
I.E. if you were encoding a video, it would encode faster if the app was ontop of all the other applications, compared to if you were to minimize it.
Is this still the case? Or did I just read some bull* thing a while back?
