multitasking stops working

Hi all,
after upgrading to ios4 on my iphone then JB & unlock...my multitasking stopped working. Everything was working great. I was able to listen to music and use safari or send sms at the same time. But now when i listen to music and try something else it quits the music before opening something else.

Any ideas?

Hrm, maybe because you Jailbroke?
 
only app from Cydia installed was ultrasnow...to unlock.
(and the updates Cydia does automatically)

it was working great right after i JB and unlocked with ios 4 yesterday. then today it stopped working. now i cant do more than 1 thing at a time.

hmmm..actually i've never tried that. looks like i dont even know how to use multitasking. i assumed it was automatic. can you explain how to use it?

any other tips/tricks with ios 4 you can fill me in on?
 
LOL! guy didnt know double tapping the home brought up the multitasking, how did you figure it was working out in the first place?

also how is the speed with your iphone 3g? did you do set up as new phone or back up?
 
i figures multitasking was working bc i was now able to use iheartradio and safari at the same time. i was not able to do that before.
(my wife's iphone)

speed is much better. not sure what you mean by "new phone or backup"

having trouble with my iphone...thats a whole other story.
I have a 3gs that i cant JB. all i get is emergency call only so i cant check the FW version or bootrom. I've tried every tool out there to JB. Can't even get to the springboard.

gonna have to swap phones with my wife when shes not looking

any ideas?
