Multitouch Gestures on iPhone 5

Why do you think multitouch gestures aren't available for the iPhone 5? One would think that with the bigger screen they would allow them since they make more sense.

The problem is that it's only taller so it really isn't bigger for the purposes of gestures. You couldn't really have 5 finger pinch detection because by the time you fit all 5 fingers on the screen they are already pinched. Same with the 4 finger swipe up, you couldn't even fit 4 fingers on the screen side by side easily.
