Music albums unavailable on iOS

Hi all,

Apologies if this isn’t the appropriate forum for this question, mods feel free to move it to a more appropriate forum if needed.

I have a 9000+ song music collection on iTunes (on a Windows 10 desktop PC), and a couple of weeks ago I decided to sync my library to my phone since I have a 256GB model. I synced my iPhone via USB, and all of the songs appeared on my phone... but then I got to an album and, for whatever reason, it told me that none of the songs on the album were available, and the songs were then grayed out.

I resynced my phone, but that didn’t seem to fix it - I had to edit the tags on that album so that it would be forced to resync the files, and that seemed to fix it. I thought it was a one-off thing, but now it happened to another album. Same problem, same symptoms.

Some additional information:
- I don’t have an Apple Music, iCloud Music Library, or iTunes Match account
- I am signed in to my Apple ID on both my iPhone and on iTunes on my PC
- My PC is an “authorized computer” on iTunes
- None of the music in my library was bought through iTunes, so it shouldn’t be a matter of the songs or account not being “authorized” to play
- The affected files play just fine on my PC - they didn’t change location nor are the files missing from my library
- Both of the albums that have been affected so far were encoded in ALAC. Most of my library is encoded in MP3, so it may be something limited to ALAC files?
- The songs appeared on Cesium (music playing app) before I tried playing them and they were skipped over. Once I tried playing the songs on Music.app and they were subsequently grayed out, they no longer appear on my Cesium library (they still appear on my Music.app library, but grayed out)

Does anyone have a solution for this?
