Since upgrading to Catalina, and Music replacing iTunes, I have had this one nagging issue that I can't seem to get rid of:

Music ALWAYS start in maxed application size. I can resize all I want, but when I shut Music down and start it back up, it always starts in maxed size. Not full-size, just maxed as much as it can be.

Why???

You should be able to drag the window to the size you want with the curser, go to the address bar, choose
'quit' from the menu and when you re-open it should be the size you left it and where you left it.

If you're saying it isn't doing this, then I suggest you find and delete the music .plist file and with a bit of luck it'll work properly again.

Some info about .plist files here.

One additional point,
Library is hidden by default so you have to hold down the 'option' key then click on the 'go' menu in finder to see it.
