iPod touch Music App Won't Close

After the 2.0 update, when I start playing music, I can't stop it. Double-clicking on the Home key and tapping Close no longer works. Anyone else having this problem?

What happens when you hold down the home button for 10 seconds?

That does work when the touch is in its play mode (thanks!), but still no luck with the double-click/close method.
