my music on my ipod touch does not appear in itunes, and is labeled as "other" memory. does anyone know how to fix this? i have a 2g ipod touch, have not jailbroken, and have tried to restore.

i don't know if this is relevant, but another person with a similar ipod touch with the same firmware (2.1.1) forgot their password and continued to put in the wrong password until the ipod said "connect to itunes". she synced it with itunes before i synced mine, and on the same day.

i just sent a song to my ipod and can listen to it but cannot listen to any of the songs on my ipod before, and only that one song shows up in itunes most of the songs were aac some were mp3, this new one was mp3

Either restore the iPod, or, if you're jailbroken, navigate to /var/mobile/ and delete the entire Media folder.

i downloaded a program and deleted that folder, it solved my problem i just resynced the music to my ipod and could listen to it
