Hi All - hope everybody is keeping safe in these crazy times.
:)

Quick question of the equaliser settings in the Music app on iPhone....

When I am listening to the radio (so currently have KISS FM playing), I currently have the equaliser setting set to 'Dance' however, no matter which other setting I switch it to, it makes zero difference to the music (I am listening on my AirPods 2)?? I have tried ALL the settings but the music from the radio just sounds all the same.....

Do the equaliser settings ONLY work when listening to music stored on the device as opposed to streaming music??

Adjusting the EQ in the Music app settings only adjust the EQ for the Music app.

Adjustment of the EQ for 3rd party apps needs to be done in that specific apps settings. Keep in mind though, if the audio is streaming and it uses DRM a software based equalizer will not be able to access the audio to alter it. This is why many streaming players don't even have an EQ in their settings.

That said many services offer "premium memberships" and with those memberships you can use the url links to the streams in different players that offer EQ adjustments. Again though, DRM streams are inaccessible to altercations.
