Music Fading out

I am a magician/comedian. Before I bought my ipod I would use a computer with a wireless remote to run the music on my show. Using Winamp I was able to push the next button and my music would fade out and go to the next track. The next track wouldnt play but it would be ready for me to push play again on my remote. Now I use my ipod with a remote. Is there a program or a way to fade music?
