I've been a PC guy forever, and I know nothing about Mac's at all! I just bought my daughter a Mac Book Pro, and the salesman that sold it to us said that her iTunes music that is on our dell would not be recognized by the new Mac. He said that it could be "converted" so the Mac would recognize it!?!?
Can anyone help an old PC guy out and TRY to explain what I need to do to make this happen... Thanks in advance!

It depends on what format the music files are. If they're .mp3 files (or several other formats), no conversion is necessary. They'll work just fine on a Mac. Only a few formats require conversion.

Most of it is "MPEG-4", but the rest says "MPEG Layer 3 Audio"... Thanks for the help!
