Music genre problem

For some reason any music with a 'genre' added in iTunes cannot be seen by my apple TV. I can sync as many times as I like, but only when i remove the genre and then sync again can apple TV see it. Is this normal? I cant believe it is! Waste of time me putting music in genres then if it is!

Can anyone help me out here?

It's not normal. Most of my music has a genre and I have no issues syncing. How do you have syncing setup on iTunes? Maybe there's a setting that's mucking things up.
