Music has disappeared

I have been using my iPad3 with few problems for six months. My music has suddenly "disappeared". According to my usage under settings I have 36.6GB
of music stored, but when I open the music app there is one small album. A few days ago I could still find my music by using iPad search, but that is no longer fringing it either. Please help, I am very ignorant of these ,taters, but I really do love my music.

Try something like i-Funbox and see if it's able to "read" the music files.

Unsyncing then resyncing the music sometimes works.
