iPod touch Music is on iPod, but doesn't show up.

My iPod is loaded with music, but after syncing one day I can't get to it anymore. When I hit music in my dock it says that there isn't any content. After SSH into my iPod however I can see all the music there (same in itunes). Syncing it off and on doesn't work either. Any fixes besides restoring?

same thing happened to me last week. Apple told me to send it in cause it's a hardware problem. My apps don't work either after that.
