Music is stuck

I recently switched to only having access to my mac after putting a few years worth of music collected onto an external from my former main computer which was PC. I am having my external shipped down to me but I need to get the music off of the external and onto my mac. Is there any possible way of doing this if the drive was formatted to windows? I can see and access the drive but I can't move the music to my mac. Any fix?

If its formatted NTFS you could try Paragon? I tried the demo this weekend and it worked well.
