Music keep going during a respring is a new feature?

I just got a respring and the music didn’t stop. Is this something new or was already a thing in prior versions?

honestly it made me think of the tweak “Don’t Stop the Party”

I get the occasional CarPlay respring and the beat keeps going.
Oddly, when I select CarPlay from the head unit again, I get a black screen. But turning the display off and back on gets it back to the CarPlay screen.
