Music Library Ratings Not Syncing

I carry my entire iTunes music library on my iPhone 6.

Sometimes I change a song's rating on my iPhone, and when connecting it back to iTunes to sync, the ratings I've changed on the iPhone don't sync over to the iTunes music library. This worked flawlessly when using my old 40GB iPod, but I can't get it to do the same with my iPhone. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Yep, any music I add to the iTunes library (on my Mac) syncs over to my iPhone just fine.

I had this problem with ios 7 and I think before. It seems not to stick. I usually just rate the song in iTunes itself.

I'm still having the exact same problem, ever find a solution? I rank way more music in my car than i ever will on itunes.
