Music / Lockscreen bug?

I listen to a lot of music / podcasts on my phone. If I'm listening to something and the display is asleep, I'll double click the home button to bring up the music controls. Occasionally (maybe once a day) I'll get this screen (that has a play button even thought something is already playing). None of the iPod controls work, and I have to unlock the phone to pause/skip.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I can't say that I have experienced this, but I'll offer some mediocre advice: try restarting the iPhone? Or a hard reset?
