iPod touch music not showing

So, I got an ipod touch for my birthday today, and I added about 5000 songs from my itunes library to my touch. In itunes, they all show up, but when I disconnect it and go to "music," it says I don't have any.

Am I just being dumb, or is there something wrong with my touch?
