It used to be at the top in iOS 15, any way to change the location?

I haven't installed 16 yet. Is there a volume slider on the lock screen when the music or streaming player is on?

Just upgraded to 16 and I actually think the "currently playing" on the lock screen looks much better personally. Nice big album artwork and even the background gradient is based off the album artwork.

Example for those who haven't upgraded yet:

That full screen music app was annoying as hell, it wouldn’t go away ha. I had to google and I guess you just click on the artwork and it minimizes.

The lack of a volume slider sucks. I use that all the time.
While the above posts aren't wrong, the volume slider is there if you're playing on another device. I guess it depends on where you are playing it. Maybe Apple figures you can just push the side buttons or use the slider in the Control Panel when playing on your phone? But then again...those will control my HomePod mini too.

Here's what my Lock Screen looks like when playing on my HomePod mini.

Good to know, but I don't need to see it all and I certainly don't need it to take up the whole screen. Same for podcasts.

Yes, so it still doesn't make much sense.
