I've searched & installed/uninstalled some media players (music players) but they all just play a selected file or a playlist. Using a playlist is just like playing a directory, expanded except that the playlist must be created.
I've ripped my CDs onto a NAS in flac format & am able to play the albums individually in their own directory/folder under windows using either winamp or spider player, currently. My music albums were created in their own directory & some albums have subdirectories prior to the flac file listing; e.g. an album may be an anthology that has various artists associated to each person's music. With Spider Player or winamp I can just select the album & the players just plays the audio & show all the selections as a playlist.
Is there such a thing in the Apple world? I have lots of classical & jazz music & it is beginning to look like the Apple/mac world is only concerned with "pop" music where the album may not matter. Even linux has Amarok as a music player that can "play directories" without need for the user to create a playlist.
