I am getting pretty jacked off with the fact that the music app on my iPhone 6s (IOS 10.2.1) will turn itself on at random. I'm pretty certain this has something to do with the earphones being in the jack but it also does it when I atteched the sync/charging cable from my car radio. It is really irritating. I have looked to see whether there is some kind of setting or other which I can change, but have found nothing. What is going on. It happens a lot all the time, though never when the headphones aren't attached.

Sound like a loose connection at the lightning plug is telling the device to stop/start as though you are hitting the pause button on the earphones. Might check for pocket debris in the connector.

Time to go wireless?

I know that if I connect my phone to a USB cable connected to your cars stereo it will play. It is designed to do so. Been like that with multiple iPhones running multiple versions of iOS. It is not random.
