So, I had my Apple Watch turned off for a few days because I wasn't using it and figured there was no use keeping it on its charger or letting it sit on the dresser and have the battery deplete. Before I did this, I had one playlist downloaded (I have no music in the cloud) with 98 songs to my Apple Watch. Everything was fine.
Today, I booted the watch back up, and after everything updated to my phone, I opened the Music app on the watch to be greeted with the message in the title of this post when I press on my music playlist. I checked and saw that there was a software update for the Watch, so I downloaded and installed it. Still, the same issue persisted.
I then deleted the playlist from the watch and tried to reinstall it from the Apple Watch app on my iPhone. No luck. Then, I powered down the watch and the phone, turned the phone back on, then the watch, and repeated the process. Still no luck.
Finally, I made a new playlist on the phone and added each song manually to the new playlist and deleted the original playlist. I tried to sync the new playlist to the phone, but still the same problem remained.
I'd really like to avoid having to unpair and re-pair the watch if possible. And I really do not want to reset the watch. I should mention that each time I tried to add the playlist to the watch, the watch was on the charger as instructed, as was the iPhone, and both were right next to each other.
I just don't understand why my music disappeared from my watch after it had already been downloaded to the watch for so long. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it.
