oh i wish i could use the search option in my fully updated 1.2 ipod video 60gb... Why do you think did they didn't put it in? It's not like im gonna toss away my 60gb ipod and run for and 80gb because of the search function.. but it would have been cool anyways.

It's a year later, the newest units could easily have a little more memory or faster parts that allow the index feature to work well. It's a closed platform, Apple don't see the need to tell people what's inside in that situation, so there isn't much to do but accept that this is the way it is.
