iPod touch Music skipping.

I have set my songs to remember position and now when a I play a song which is supposed to resume at about 30 seconds my ipod will first play the starting of the song for 1 or 2 seconds and then skip to where it was supposed to start from. My ipod's version is 3.0. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know a solution?
