I'm looking for a program that will allow me to write and print sheet music. Doesn't need to be complex. In fact the simpler the better.

Finale notepad is what I use. There are various levels of the software that you can pay for, but notepad is free.

Finale and Sibelius are the big two. each has a non-expiring (and non-saving, non-printing) demo you can download and try out. i did so, and went with Sibelius.
