Just noticed something in my iPhone 6 that doesn't seem to happen on my iPhone 5 with iOS 8 installed. When I have music playing, it stops whenever I enter the Messages app. Anyone experiencing this? I can't see why this would make sense.

I'd imagine it's because you can now create and send an audio message directly in Messages. It's designed to be quick and easy, and I guess wouldn't work so well if you had music playing.
This is happening to me on my 5s when Spotify is playing. I unlock my phone when spotify is playing and open messages and music stops. Definitely some sort of bug that needs to be worked out. Glad im not the only one to be experiencing this.
is there any way to disable the audio messages? I know if you turn siri off it disables the microphone. Wondering if this is a fix.
Don't think so but mine are enabled and it's working fine. Tried both iMessage and a regular text.

But does your music pause automatically when its playing and you go into the messages app without doing anything in the messages app, just opening it?
i posted about something similar yest, when I hang up a phone call I lose audio for most audible sounds...ie, hang up go to music app, plays with no sound, or hang up, lock screen no lock sound, can you try that and see if yours does that, maybe this is part of same issue....i filed a bug report yest as well
