Music stops playing when I record video from my phone?

When I'm airplaying music to my Apple TV from my iPhone 7 plus, and then I go to take a Snapchat or video on my iPhone, the music from my Apple TV stops playing while I'm doing that.

Even when I'm airplaying a YouTube video and go to take a Snapchat... the video stops playing!!!!!!!

Extremely annoying. Pretty much a deal breaker for me.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way Apple TV works?

It's not the Apple TV, it's the phone - recording video uses the audio system, and as such any audio playing is temporarily paused.

It doesn't even make sense if the phone plays music while you're recording a video unless you want tp hear that sound in the video.

yes this is clearly intentional...why would you want the crappy music audio in your video?
