Music Streaming vs Data Usage

I have a question for the techies out here. I've been using my iPhone 4S for music in my car. I was subscribed to Pandora but I found that it used a lot of my monthly 8 gB data pool. I have thought of doing iTunes Match and streaming my own library. I currently just use the iPod function. What is the best streaming music music service and how is it on data usage?
