I've not used iTunes/Music to sync music to my phone from the mac for a few years now since upgrading my iCloud storage, however since getting my latest iPhone I've noticed that half of my songs are missing, as well a songs in playlists so am syncing from the Mac to get them back.

Now it's the first time I've done this since iTunes was removed and it's a bit different obviously and you have to sync via finder. In the past you could choose to sync artists and albums, as you can now, but I'm sure with iTunes if you used the album option it still organised them via artists so you knew which albums were done by who. Now it just gives a list of albums and to be quite honest I can't remember which artist did which album simply by the album title so am having to jump back and forth to my music library to check.

Is there a way to set it so that the albums are still listed in order of the artist, or at least list the artist as well as album name so that I know what's what?

I hope this makes sense?

P.S. I'm running Monterey 12.1 on a silicon Macbook Pro.

Well I am on Big Sur on my iMac 2015 and cannot sync my library onto my iPhone. In fact am having trouble syncing as it is my Apple books as well (not too many books as it is).
