The video quality was never really the issue. It's the stills that are just terrible. Clearly, stills were just an afterthought. The cameras were designed for Facetime/video captures.

Well the video is good because they know how to work with the lights.
The camera is good is 720p i think that wannabe just make the video for more buzz because the song is really bad.
 
It bugs me that it's not really 720p though. it's 960x720, not 1280x720. I guess it's not THAT big of a deal. but it's just annoying to be non-standard.
 
It doesn't look too horrible (even with it's tiny dynamic range) when viewed scaled down, but if you watch it at it's native resolution it looks pretty crappy to me.

Obviously it was only designed for capping a vid of the cat doing something stupid for youtube, but still.
