Just happened, normal connect of Ipod Touch to my PC & iTunes in order to sync a podcast and charge the battery.

No changes I made (that I'm aware of) and I didn't notice any new/different iTunes messages (V8.02) but after the sync, now my iPod shows NO MUSIC & NO VIDEOS!!!

The data store still shows exactly what it has shown in last week or so... 680MB free but now instead of 11GB songs & 2GB videos, it shows 13.5GB in "Other" ???

What happened?... and more importantly - how do I fix it???

** I have always sync'ed songs/videos manually in iTunes, not from a playlist. My Itunes holds far more music than I want (or can put) on my ipod, so re-creating from scratch would be "VERY" painful & timeconsuming...

/BD

That's why I learned to use playlist to make restoring my iPod much much easier...

Mine used to do the same thing, I finally had to do a full restore.
