I don't understand why Music Videos are in the Video app and not the Music app.

Music would still be the same

And if you hit "Video" at the top right the music video will start playing where the cover art would be. And of course you can turn your device and the video will go in landscape, with on screen controls.

The way I see it...

Music app = Just music.
Videos app = Any type of video.

So I would say music videos are fine in the videos app.

I have music videos in my Music App for some reason. Unless Apple changed it.
Would prefer it if they weren't there as they're already in the Videos App as well.

Yep, music videos already play in the music app. Maybe it's only certain file types?

Download the Tom Odelle album in the 12 days of free gifts app today (official Apple app). It contains 3 music videos and they all play in the music app on my iPhone 5s.

The annoying thing is that when you tilt the phone to landscape it still displays the music wall rather than rotating the video.

Music videos DO show up in the Music app. It's the whole reason I deleted them off my phone, because I didn't want them in there.

They are there and shouldn't be. Why? Because the two apps are coded differently. The way Music is set up is not appropriate for videos as they won't play when the screen is locked etc.

Now if we could just get iTunes on the computer to rcognize them as a separate group and not lump them in with music

----------

Yeah but videos taken on the iPhone are in photos tho

Because they are a part of the camera roll. And that is the section programmed with the appropriate functionality for such items.
