iPod Music videos quality

Is it just me, or when putting a music video bought from the iTunes music store ful screen, the quality if the video is terrible!!
Why?
Apple is not known for making things like this!!

It's not just you. The videos are compressed down to work with the limited capabilities of the iPod.

If they had NTSC quality, and it played on a G3 700 MHz, then I'd never download xvid TV torrents again.
