Musical Slideshow on iPad?

I created a slideshow on my iPad. However, when I try to play music with the slideshow, I just keeps playing one song over and over. I have ALBUMS on my iPad, how do I configure it to play all the selections on an album, instead of just the first song? How can I merge multiple songs into one MP3 file? Thanks.
