Both iTunes and Music support playlist folders, i.e. folders containing playlists. In iTunes, selecting such a folder would list all tracks of all contained playlists and could itself be used as a (playlist) source in smart playlists.

In Music, a playlist folder looks like it should display a list of tracks, but it's empty. It does not amalgamate all tracks of all contained playlists, even when all such contained folders work perfectly themselves and display the tracks they are supposed to.

Is this a real change from iTunes to Music or is it just me seeing this behaviour in Music?

Looks like Music DOES amalgamate tracks from all the contained playlists in a playlist folder after all. The problem I am seeing clearly relates to this being an imported iTunes library and playlist folders are all borked in some way. If I create a new folder and drag in the existing playlists from a currently borked folder, the new folder will display what it should. Meanwhile NONE of the folders from the iTunes import are working.

So yet more work to undertake in order to bring Music.app up to where iTunes was before I had to update. Another example of the dreadful quality of Music.app.
