So after a longtime at being a straight Macbook user, I just got a new 24-inch iMac as a complement to my unibody Macbook. Does anyone have any recommendations for must have accessories or additions to the iMac, especially for somebody that hasn't used a desktop in ages (Having been nearly exclusively a laptop user for years). My main uses are photography related, so I'm transferring over the necessary software (IE Aperture) but don't know much about the desktop world outside of that.

Thanks a bunch.

UPS, mfg by APC

3 of every 4 UPS's are sold by APC....All others are poor knock off imitations

Card reader for transferring pictures or a usb hub to easily hook the camera up to.

I like my monitors VESA mounted any my keyboard/mice wireless. Cleaner looking and easier to use.

External HD for backup / aperture library.

I have a Griffin Simplifi I've been using on my Macbook for my card-readers (also is an iPod dock and a USB hub, I love the thing I recommend it), and I have an external MyBook HD I use as a backup for my photography.

What's a VESA mount? Clean looking is always a plus.

VESA is a standard for mounting monitors and computers. You buy an adaptor for your 24 in iMac, then you can prchase any number of mounts.
