Bite.org has posted an article that tries to "use common sense" to cut through inflated rumors and get right down to what is going to be announced at Wednesday's MWNY keynote. They make some logical points throughout. Take a look.
<ul>Overall, the only givens in this keynote are new iMac and new Power Mac G4s.
There's been no keynote in recent memory that so little was known
beforehand...it should be exciting on Wednesday.

little known could be good

in the past i used to see how far behind Apples were from the PCs i repaired so there were a lot of wishful posts before any MacWorld show...but now there are fewer wishful posts because the Macs have caught up or surpassed in almost every area...ie) best high end laptop - the TiBook for sure, best sub-notebook - a good case could be made for the iBook, the iMac still stands in a class by itself and e-machines and gateway iMac wannabes fell off the market, best tower - the G4 ranks as good or better than any post 1 GHz PC desktops... And once the Macs reach the 1 GHz mark, then there won't be a need to for explanations to ignorant buyers who only go by speed ratings...and a 1 GHz G4e would fare well in gaming and applications against the Athlon and P4, not just in graphics...wouldn't it be great to see steve show off a G4 killing a P4 in all areas, not just the same altivec enhanced photoshop tests?
