I recently bought a MX Master 3 mouse for my iMac (which is rather old, 2010 I believe). I didn't know when I bought that it was incompatible with my iMac. Anyone with this iMac get it to connect properly?

What is the nature of "the incompatibility"?

Can't establish a connection?

Something else?

HOW are you trying to connect?

Via bluetooth?

Have you tried the "unifying receiver"?

If the Logitech software is "too modern" for the older Mac, have you tried either of these instead?
- USB Overdrive
- SteerMouse

You won't be able to use Bluetooth mode with that Mac, it doesn't support the version of Bluetooth the mouse uses. But the USB receiver should work, but I can't say for certain. Personally, I would try to return the mouse and try to find an older model that will still work with a Mac that old.

If OP bought the Mac version it does not come with the receiver. That would be a $15 add-on. The receiver works better than BT in my experience.

This. Seems like the "Mac version" for Logitech is little more than an excuse to not include the unifying receiver. The general version works great, even with old Macs.

The Unifying Reveiver eliminates all Bluetooth issues. I am running an MX 3 on an M1 iMac without any issues, lag etc.

One more vote to get the Unifying Receiver if you don't have it.
It works great and should SOLVE the OP's problems.
