I just got my first MacBook after 10 years+ of windows. My MX Master mouse has a thumb scroll wheel. Logitech have some software to install to reconfigure the mouse, but they do not have an option for vertical scroll in the thumb scroll section. On my Windows laptop, I found an AutoHotKey script online that allowed for the "thumb horizontal scroll" to become the "thumb vertical scroll". However, after much Googling, it seems it's not possible to do this on Mac...So:

1. How do I set up the thumb scroll to be vertical, the same as I had on my Windows?

And secondly:

Why is the Logitech Options+ software different on Windows and Mac? I have the 2 side-by-side, for the same mouse, and there's much more configurable options on the Windows.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Something you could try (don't know whether it will work for you or not)...

Uninstall Logitech Options (their control software).

Download "USB Overdrive":

USB Overdrive -might have- the ability to "disengage" the top scroll wheel, and create "up" and "down" movements for the side scroll wheel.

It's shareware, but gives you a good "evaluation period" to see if it will work for you.

Thank you very much (again). Will give this a try.

This forum is incredible.
