I'm looking for a little guidance if I may. I have a 12 inch PB, 1.33 MHZ, with 756 MB of memory. It seems as though the power recptacle has gone out. It will not accept power from the power cord. I took it to the Genius bar and they used a power cord there and still it would not accept power. I should point out then when this happened I was pluggin the power cord in and it was not making a good fit, so I may pushd it too hard and damaged the receptacle. Apple wants $310 to fix it. Its a blanket cost that you pay and they will fix most anything. I'm trying to determin if there is enough value to put $300 bucks into. I'm fearful I may be in the same spot in 6 months or a year. Any thoughts on if this is worth pursuing

Sorry, I should note that I have had the power Book for 5 1/2 years

I wish i were that handy. Looks like a lot of small screws, disassembly and some soldering
