I have a 1G iPod Touch 8 Gig with the 2.2 software. Last night after being charged with my computer (Macbook with OS X 10.5) it turned off and will not turn back on. It will not recognize or show up in iTunes when I connect it to my computer. I have tried resetting it with the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons, but nothing seems to work. I have also re-downloaded iTunes, and restarted my computer. Also, I have connected it to an AC adapter and other USB ports. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Weird...a lot of people having power problems tonight. Well you've tried pretty much everything that would have worked by now... maybe you should consider contacting Apple and claiming it's defective. Because as far as you explained, it IS defective. Has it taken any recent beating? (falls, bumps, pressure)
