My 2008 Aluminum MacBook is getting hot when in sleep mode

It just seems to get hot for no reason, I tried to force it into sleep mode (option+command+eject) but then it seems to get hotter. I even went under setting and went to power savings and I have my disk go to sleep when ever it can and that does little to nothing. Any help and I would be grateful.

Open up activity monitor and inspect each task and check the info on which is taking up any cpu.

What did you do before this happened, can you relate to you installing anything or changing anything just before it started happening?

Launch Activity Monitor and change "My Processes" at the top to "All Processes". Then look to see what apps may be placing high demands on your CPU/GPU.
