The fan is spinning around at least 3000 rpm as well. I checked the activity monitor and I see no program running that uses a lot of CPU resources. If it was gaming, that's understandable but I'm not playing any games at the moment. I played last night though but after that I turned it off. I wasn't watching YouTube videos at the moment either. I also use my MBP on my desk. I then restarted the computer and everything seems back to normal. I also unplugged the battery charger because I once heard it could possibly be a cause but I doubt it. Most of the time it's always plugged in and I can't recall having a heating issue just because the charger was always attached.
