This is REALLY weird. My wife's LED display I bought her a few months ago has no serial number on the pedestal stand. I still have the box etc it came in so I have the serial number from the box, but there's nothing on the foot of the display. There's a black strip where I ASSUME a serial number SHOULD be, but it's black, with nothing on it! I only noticed it since we're packing up all our stuff (moving to Seattle).

What the heck do I do if I need a warranty repair? How do I prove my serial number?:confused::confused::confused:

Where did you buy the display? If you bought it used it might be stolen and hence no serial number. One thing I would check is to see if the serial number can be seen via software. Have you tried connecting your Mac and searching around for the serial number via software?

Definitely not stolen. Ordered from Amazon (directly). I don't think there's a way to check the serial number in software...
