My 4S gets SUPER HOT when I take it out of my pocket!!
Then if I put it aside for several minutes, it cools down quickly.

Do you guys also have similar problem?

I'm wondering if it is a defect of my own device or a common hardware/software problem. (FYI, I've turned off the WIFI, still doesn't help..)

Thanks!

Thanks for all your replies!

1, I do wear jeans, but just quite usual ones:)
2, It doesn't always happen, 2 or 3 times yesterday, and once today
Both in my office.
Anything to do with the bad signal?

What's wrong with tight jeans?

it has to be better than the baggy jeans that people wear nowadays.
As long as jeans aren't so tight that it defines your figure (male) then its fine.

Is that an iPhone in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

stop wearing Daisy Dukes

I noticed mine was really warm too. I was streaming music in the car for about an hour. My iPhone 4 never got that warm. I hope the heat doesn't end up damaging the battery or something else.

Do you wear jeans like these? :(

i think it is from poor signal, the other day at work i put my phone in a room for a hour or two and came back and the phone was very hot and the battery was almost dead. i noticed the room i put it in had poor signal. so i guess it keep seaching for signal.

Lol. One of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. Go back to 1912.

You crazy kid, with your shoes and your pants, and your shirt, and your hat.

Seriously, the iPhone does get warm in my opinion. Nothing to be bothered by, but noticably warm. My 4 was the same way.

I concur. Whenever I would try to stream music while on the road, the phone would get so hot you could barely hold on to it.
