My adapter has stopped working

I have a second generation ( the one before the newest ) adapter, and I've had it for about a year, now it seems to have broken. It started happening when sometimes it wouldn't work, and I would have to adjust the cable.

It got worse and now it just doesnt work at all, even when adjusting the cable and plugging it an and out, anyone know a solution to this problem?

Are you talking about Mini DVI or Mini DisplayPort or other video or even audio adapters? Or are you talking about USB adapters?
It would be nice if you could be more specific about what exact hardware is involved.

I'd buy a new one. Messing around with a power cable can be risky.

Do you still have Apple Care or a comparable third party warranty? If so, why not ask for a replacement?

i think you mean 60W with "T" shape connector, maybe the the problem of connector, or you need update firmware, some customers that problem last year .
