My AEBS sleeps in and will not wake up in the morning - Is my issue unique?

I have a very specific issue with my AEBS. For the last 3 days I have not been able to connect to the internet when I wake up in the morning. During the day everything works without issues, but first thing in the morning it will not connect.

Here is how I've resolved the issue each time -

Day 1 - Reboot the cable modem and AEBS

Day 2 - Release renew the wan address, ping stuff, and poof it's back up

Day 3 (this morning) - Unplug the wan cable to the cable modem, tested the connection by plugging directly into the modem, and then reconnecting the cable to the AEBS. This seems the most odd in that all I did was unplug and reconnect the cable from the cable modem to the AEBS


Point 1 - Each time the light on the AEBS remained green.

Point 2 - I know the problem started after 6:01am this morning because my iPhone received an email at 6:00am.

Point 3 - DNS is not an issue because I attempted to connect via my iPhone to both cnn.com and 157.166.226.26 without success (after 6:00am but before I messed with the wan cable).

Point 4 - The clients show an active connection to the AEBS. Neither my MBP or iPhone show the connection to the router being down.

Point 5 - I was on 7.5.1 and just upgraded to 7.5.2 at 10am this morning

*UPDATE* - This morning I had the exact same thing. Everything was green but I wasn't able to access any site on either my phone or MBP on either the normal or guest network. I was able to ping both sides of the AEBS. Releasing or renewing my system's DHCP address didn't do anything.

What did work is releasing and renewing the DHCP address on the AEBS (one given by my ISP). Once that was done everything was resolved. This is similar to an earlier day where I disconnected the cable and reconnected it to the AESB. Somehow the activity on the wan port (release renew and or cable disconnect reconnect) fixes the problem.

I checked my DHCP log and my lease is for 7 days from the ISP.

Once again, everything remains green and there's no indication anything is wrong except for when you try to access the internet (grab mail on the phone and so forth)
