My air video on netflix doesn't look good as iPad 2 netflix

So I have an ipad 2 and a macbook air. I find that when I watch netflix, HD video on the ipad 2 is better quality than my macbook air HD video from netflix. Am I just crazy? My air's display is "best for built in display."

the ipad 2 does have a better display than the air does. They are pretty similar in the number of pixels per inch but the ipad has an ips panel that is far better than the TN planel in the air
