It would help if you did know what to call things, but, absent that, perhaps we can get to the bottom of this.

It sounds like you are opening two different folders called Applications. Once an Applications window is opened, go to View and select Show Path Bar. (If it says Hide Path Bar, don't select it as it's already shown). Look at the bottom of the window. It will show the path to the folder that is open in that window. Now open Applications from the other place that's not showing the same items as the first one. Compare path bars between the two open Applications folders. They're probably different.

the folder in home D:

Then where is the problem? Did you create that folder yourself or did you install any Adobe application, because they create an Applications folder there?

Anyway, the STANDARD location of the Applications folder is in Macintosh HD / Applications and not your Home directory.

Btw, does anyone else have access to your account? Have you looked inside Trash or used Spotlight to find a misplaced folder called "applications"?

The Applications folder in your Home folder is only used if an application is installed only for that particular user. The Applications folder at the root level of your hard drive is where applications are installed for all users. Apple's default is that the root level Applications folder will have all the applications in it.

the folder in home D:

Click on the Finder dock icon (to make Finder active) and press shift-command-G. In the box that appears, enter

Code:
/Applications

and click the Go button. You should see the Applications folder on your hard drive. This should include all the usual Apple apps, and others you may have installed. If this Applications folder is empty, you have a problem.

Having an empty folder named Applications inside your Home folder is not a problem (unless you had something in there that you wanted to keep). Such a folder is not part of OS X, and many users don't even have such a folder.

Are you concerned simply because that folder is empty? Or have you lost some functionality?

No no no I didn't make it myself. I also checked the trash but nothing's there. I didn't set a password but I don't think anyone would have used it when I was gone. In mac hd it's just fine but this one in home, no o.o (command+shift+h)

What was inside that folder and did you use it and did you put applications in there and did Spotlight find anything?
Btw, setting up a password is recommended: https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/11835313/

The apps are still there. I'm just bothered why the folder suddenly became empty hehe !

Wait, not all users have that folder ?

the same as what's inside the app folder. This one:

You mean all the applications that are normally located inside the standard Applications folder (Safari, Mail, Address Book, iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto, iChat, Garage Band, iWeb, iDVD, Automator, Calculator, Chess, Dashboard, Dictionary, DVD Player, Font Book, Front Row, iCal, Image Capture, Photo Booth, Preview, QuickTime Player, Stickies, System Preferences, Text Edit, Time Machine and the Utilities folder) have been also present in that Applications folder inside your Home folder?
Were they aliases or actual copies? And since when did that Applications folder have all the applications?
