My Applications and Documents folder on my dock dont seem to have the folders with there symbols on it, they seem to other material. How can I get them to show the folders. Im running on Snow Leopard!

how would I right click? Im using the track pad

You can also click with two fingers on the trackpad (either resting two fingers on the trackpad and clicking the button, or tapping with two fingers if you use tap-to-click). Just another helpful tip.

Useful threads don't get closed, they just fade away to page 2, page 3, . . .

Your Dock icons look like folders, but they are still Stacks. The definition of a Stack is a folder placed in the Dock. Of course, the actual folder stays in its original location. The Dock icon is like an alias, or, for switchers who haven't learned the Mac lingo, a shortcut.
